Description
NEC Laboratories America, Inc. (NEC Labs), with locations in Princeton, New Jersey and San Jose, California is the US-based center for NEC Corporation's global network of corporate research laboratories. In collaboration with industry, academia, and governments around the world, we generate and commercialize innovative technical solutions to real world problems. Our research portfolio engages multidisciplinary teams with expertise and skills that range from fundamental algorithms and understanding, to machine learning and statistics, to media analytics and systems, to devices, networks, and sensing. Our mission is to advance the frontiers of knowledge to solve complex problems addressing fundamental societal challenges and creating business value for NEC.

Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• A PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, networking, optics, machine learning, data science, mathematics or equivalent work experience
• A proven track record of collaborative research
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Research contributions and publications in leading conferences and journals
