Research Technician

​​​​​We are currently seeking a Research Associate to join our team!

Biostate.AI aims to build a foundational model of biology that can predict the evolution of health and disease. For each subject, Biostate 's neural network will use past multiomic state information to predict future multiomic states, which in turn can be used to classify future disease state. Biostate's ultimate goal is to improve human healthspan, and proximally can facilitate biopharma drug development through accurate prediction of toxicology in preclinical research.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Research Scientist executes most of the Research & Development protocol activity which is vital to the success of the company. This position handles sensitive data and comes with a high degree of trust.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Essential responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• DNA and/or RNA extraction and purification
• NGS library preparation and sequencing
• PCR and qPCR
• Animal experiments
• Data analysis, interpretation and presentation
• Customer support
• Assist in project management and CRO coordination

Job Qualifications and Education:

• 2-3 years of nucleic acids extraction and purification experience
• 1-2 years NGS experience
• Experience with PCR and qPCR (Mandatory)
• Animal experiment experience (Preferred)
• BA/BS or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Strong communication skills and critical thinking skills
• Highly organized and motivated person, with the enthusiasm necessary to learn and grow with the company
• Advanced matlab and/or python skills (Preferred)
• Advanced adobe illustrator skills (Preferred)
