The Stephan Lab (http://stephanlab-fhcrc.squarespace.com) is recruiting aResearch Technician to develop a new delivery platform to improve the effectiveness and safety of gene therapies, and establish the therapeutic advantage of this approach to conventional gene therapy delivery strategies.
The successful applicant will fabricate novel gene therapy delivery systems and test their therapeutic potential in vitro and in vivo.
Qualifications:- Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) with course work in a field related to biomedical research.
- Two years of general laboratory experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential to success in this position, as are good communication and organizational skills.
- The candidate must show initiative, the willingness to take up new skills and responsibilities, and be a team player.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in flow cytometry, cell culture, and/or genetic engineering.
