Position Summary
This position functions as a Research Technician in the Computational Medical Imaging and Therapy lab within the Precision Radiotheranostics Center. The candidate will assist and conduct research studies and experiments to develop and validate computational medical imaging methods, maintain files on research, document research findings, and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assists and conducts research towards developing and validating computational medical imaging solutions, including collection and analysis of data.
  • Maintains files on research and documents research findings in manuscripts.
  • Disseminates research findings at conferences and journals.
  • Participates in lab meetings and lab journal club.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
Works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. Must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain complete and organized records/reports.
  • Working knowledge of computer software.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.

R04-H
Salary Range
$16.21 - $21.69 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
