Primary Responsibilities
HDR is currently looking for a Research Intern to join our Colorado team for the summer of 2024. As part of the marketing team, this role with work across HDR's service lines and network cross-functionally to gain knowledge of various functions impacting the business in the Colorado market. The successful candidate will work together with leadership and marketing team members to identify and collect relevant data points about, market insights, competitive marketplace assessment, data analysis and dashboards, service offerings and more. Other responsibilities include,
- Research emerging industry trends, best practices and competitor strategies.
- Research and analyze information to create clear and concise executive summary memos, diagrams, and presentations.
- Research potential opportunities in the Colorado area.
- Perform financial analyses to determine vendor and competitor financial health.
- Work with various departments to gain an understanding of strategies.
- Edit and proofread memos, emails, presentations, and reports.
- Assist in research studies that are in progress, along with planning for future studies.
- Develop Google alerts and/or other system for tracking clients in the news.
- Assist internal client managers and teams in the development of marketing strategies, client development plans, and pursuit capture planning.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Attention to detail a must
- Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry

The expected compensation range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
