Li Industries is a start-up focusing on improving the environmental impact of batteries through innovative recycling processes for battery materials. We are looking for a motivated and resourceful engineer to help us develop our technologies that are essential for improving the sustainability of portable electronics and electric mobility.

Job Description:

Contribute to design and evaluation of processes for the safe, economical, and environmentally beneficial recycling of battery materials. Responsibilities will include process designing and specifying equipment and optimizing processes as well as executing experiments to validate equipment and process yield, throughput, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on design, specify and optimize equipment for materials processing manufacturing and recycling process.
• Characterize materials using a variety of techniques including SEM/EDS, ICP, particle size distribution, etc. and analyze the results.
• Perform laboratory testing of materials processing.
• Operate and troubleshoot prototype equipment.
• Design and execute experiments.

Candidates must have the following:

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering or closely related field.
• Previous hands-on experience with processes, equipment or laboratory instruments.
• Resourceful, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
• Ability to manage time in accordance with project goals and timelines.
• Ability to work both independently and with other team members to achieve goals.
• Strong communication skills.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• Experience in an advanced materials R&D and/or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in electrochemistry, materials synthesis process and equipment.
• Ability to research manufacturing processes and methods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
