This is a tremendous opportunity to apply technical knowledge to inform cutting edge and critical policies to provide essential internet service to need, disadvantaged, and underserved populations. Under the direction of the Program and Project Supervisor, the incumbent will independently develop and utilize research methodology and techniques, including spatial and statistical analysis work, to inform policy related to broadband needs of the state and development of broadband plans by region and county in California. Incumbents are responsible for a wide range of research and analytical duties regarding complex statistical data, gathering developing, implementing and monitoring systems and procedures to assemble and structure necessary data and validating the accuracy of structured and unstructured data being reported.

  • Describe your experience developing, investigating and analyzing other thematic, demographic, and undeserved, information from multiple data sources using GIS, Access, R, Excel, Tableau and other available software.
  • Describe your experience in effectively communicate technical information in written and oral formats.

  • Knowledge of Federal and State legislation and policies related to Broadband Internet Access Services, and the communications industry generally.
