The department will be anchored in the Integrated Physiology Research area and will have strong integration with the biology areas across GDD.
The Research Associate will be part of a highly ambitious multidisciplinary team dedicated to setting up and implementing human cell-based disease relevant MPS platforms to support validation and progression of early drug candidates. Working closely with the cardiometabolic therapeutic areas across the Research & Early Development (R&ED) organization the individual will help develop, validate, and implement organ-specific disease models with the initial focus of developing multicellular cardiometabolic disease models. The Research Associate will work hands-on in the lab performing MPS-related in vitro cell work (culture and differentiation of primary cells as well as cell lines). Furthermore, the job entails setting up and performing advanced analytical methods. Moreover, the Associate Scientist will help establish this new unit by technical laboratory skills to establish the entire workflow from frozen cells to analysis results.
