The Clinical Research Coordinator II is responsible for the logistical aspects of Oncology clinical trials. The role is an integral part of our rapidly expanding central Clinical Trial Coordination team within the Fred Hutch and Fred Hutch/University of Washington Cancer Consortium's clinical trials office, Clinical Research Support (CRS). Reporting to the Senior Manager of Clinical Trials Coordination, the position will support our Genitourinary Medical Oncology and other specialized Oncology clinical research portfolios.
Responsibilities
  • Support basic administrative and protocol driven tasks as needed for the study (i.e., meeting management, ordering of supplies).
  • Perform key protocol driven tasks as requested such as:
    • preparing and routing lab kits,
    • administering participant questionnaires,
    • creation of participant study charts, and
    • collection of participant receipts/travel reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff, PIs, and other study team members on trial activities.
  • May serve as a point of contact for pre-visit activities.
  • Prepare snapshots of medical records for data abstraction.
  • Perform various coordination activities including routing documents for signature, obtaining outside medical records, printing of medical histories, and double-checking visit check lists for accuracy.
  • Track data sources, gather, and enter data into required systems.
  • Abstract data and enter into sponsor provided platform, and/or internal systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with databases.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills both in-person and on telephone calls.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills, ability to handle time sensitive deadlines and quickly pivot when unexpected events or changes present themselves.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail mindset.
  • Onsite work is required for participant visits.

Preferred:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 1-2 years' experience in clinical research.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.32 to $33.20 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
