Position Description:
This Manufacturing Engineer position requires familiarity with processing circuit card assemblies and electronic box assemblies for aerospace applications,
specifically SMT.
Assignments include the development of new or modified processes, setting up and running equipment and developing manufacturing methods and techniques.
Understanding engineering drawings, processing constraints and techniques for electronics products coupled with innovative thinking is required. Responsibilities
include determining sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, solving production problems and developing working relationships with multi-disciplined
team of people who are dedicated to effectively and efficiently planning and building electronic assemblies. Knowledge base should include familiarity with multilayer
circuit cards, plated-thru-holes, surface mounted components, connector assembly and wiring, coating and bonding manufacturing and reliability. Familiarity with
DoD and NASA requirements are highly desirable.
Skills Required:
Technical Bachelors Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Chemical preferred).
Strong organization skills, Interpersonal/Team skills, Good communication
skills, Ability to work independently, Experience with Microsoft Office, Ability to multi-task, leadership skills.
Skills Preferred:
Team player, excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
CAD Tools (Mentor Graphics, Zuken and Ideas).
Experience with manufacturing testing and automation programing.
Experience with problem solving techniques to resolve quality issues and ability to design and develop manufacturing aids to improve manufacturing efficiency and
in-process quality.
Knowledge of development of work centers, time standards, routings and manufacturing bill of materials within SAP
