Our engineering team provides force measurement solutions to the aerospace, automotive, energy, factory automation, medical which includes the test and measurement industries as well. Interface products can measure from grams to millions of pounds in hundreds of models and physical sizes. By maintaining the entire process, from design, machining, strain gage manufacturing and assembly, and in our own facilities, we can ensure the highest degree of performance possible.
1st shift - 5:00am-1:30pm (overtime available)
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of activities involved in evaluation, repair and refurbishing of Interface made electro-mechanical devices including test & measurement, analysis, soldering, the use of fine motor skills and the accurate and clear completion of evaluation reports. Performs various operations in the processing of customer owned load cells and instruments. Maintains a high degree of quality, while following standards and procedures. Must work individually and as a team as required to achieve quality and cycle time goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Remove covers, replace covers, diaphragms, moisture protect load cells from Interface and other load cell manufacturers
- Correct Zero Balance Issues
- Check and replace amplifier boards
- Repair or replace cabling
- Replace connectors
- Make cables for testing
- Fix moisture ingression problems
- Repair open bridge (load cell and torque transducer inner wire repair)
- Fix or replace connector pins
- Other items as identified

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School or GED Equivalent
- Strong ability to read and communicate in English
- Able to work with miniaturized tools such as tweezers, fine screwdrivers, soldering irons, etc…
- Able to attach wires to load cell tabs by following schematics or wiring diagrams
- Expected to be able to learn how to evaluate, wire, can, cable and to perform mechanical disassembly, cleanup and rebuild as proficiency is gained
- Must be able to perform in-process inspection on own work in conformance with existing procedures
- Uses visual aids as needed (eye loupes, scopes, magnifying tools, etc.) for repair and/or inspection
- Meet or exceed all performance standards and requirements as outlined
- Must be able to work full time and overtime when needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is based indoors in a production environment with loud machinery. Chemicals are also present, and the use of proper PPE is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
