Job description

Essential Job Function: The Rental Coordinator is responsible for supporting our construction teams with rentals of all types of construction/industrial equipment. The primary function of this position is to understand customer equipment needs, negotiate and place orders. The role also requires strong administrative skills and an ability to always deliver customer satisfaction through a professional attitude.

Job Functions/Duties:

· This position performs customer service and administrative duties related to rental of equipment.

· Process rental requests

· Follow up with field teams via phone and email to obtain information required to complete rental request.

· Write rental agreements.

· Can coordinate coverage of insurance for outside rentals.

· Accurately communicate equipment & attachment availability, function, and capability to field teams

· Understands dispatch, trucking, and mobilizations.

· Maintain a working knowledge of competitor’s practices and rental rates.

· Assist in the preparation of rental reports.

· Manages equipment utilization KPi

· Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements and Capabilities:

· Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn our internal computer systems.

· Excellent communication and customer relations skills

· Extensive knowledge of the rental equipment industry

· Ability to thrive in a team environment.

· Valid driver’s license

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Strong understanding of equipment finance, rental rate development, rental terms, and anniversary dates

Physical Requirements:

This position requires a person to sit or stand for long periods of time; handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis. Ability to lift 50 lb. Work indoors and outdoors.

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Rental Equipment Industry: 5 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Salem, OR: Relocate before starting work (Required)
