Since 1996, the Veterans Law Group has represented disabled veterans and their dependents in obtaining maximum disability compensation benefits. We are seeking a Staff Attorney to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and will be able to work independently as well as part of a team. The candidate must be able to work with diverse clients and have the ability to build rapport with clients while also maintaining confidentiality.
The Staff Attorney will also need excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong negotiation skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings and other legal documents with minimal assistance.
- Communicate with clients via phone or email regarding case status and other important information.
- Prepare case briefs for attorneys at various stages of the case including preparing documents such as expert reports, expert schedules, expert summaries, witness lists, etc.
- Prepare court proceedings such as hearings and decrees for attorneys at various stages of the case.
- Other duties as assigned by managing Attorney or paralegal.
General Overview:
The attorney and agents will review veterans’ claims files and determine the strategy for obtaining maximum possible benefits for each individual veteran’s situation, including what type of appeal to file, identifying additional evidence needed, advising the client throughout the process, and staying abreast of all deadlines.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
