Our Client is looking for a Sterling Integrator Architect with experience creating API business processes that map to and from IBMi (AS400) system using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
This individual must Implement Business to Business (B2B), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Application Programming Interface (API) integrations with external vendors. Evaluates API/EDI business requirements and delivers comprehensive solutions. Responsible for documentation, development, unit testing, end-to-end test, and performance testing for API projects. Creates API business processes for authorization, security, requests, token access, payloads that map to and from IBM i (AS400) system using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Evaluates API/EDI business requirements and delivers comprehensive solutions. Responsible for documentation, development, unit testing, end-to-end test, and performance testing for API projects. Creates API business processes for authorization, security, requests, token access, payloads that map to and from IBM i (AS400) system using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, development, mapping, testing, and data communication configuration for purchase order API interoperability with external vendor/trading partner.
- Perform complex analysis of database information, system journals, and logs to develop automated business processes that allow the exchange of inbound purchase order information including different types of file attachments.
- Reviewing and understanding of API Services, API Keys, schemas, and general get/send API requirements with SOAP endpoints.
- Generates, maintains, and organizes EDI process flow of data processing within project scope.
- Write manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Assists by providing root cause analysis with resolution of issues within project scope.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of EDI transaction sets 850, 855, 810, 856, and 997.
- Experience implementing Purchase Order API solutions using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, AS2, FTP, and VAN.
- Understanding of data communication protocols and resolving API communication issues.
- Knowledge of and basic concepts and principles of developmentI.E. two or more development languages,required.
- Experience with IBM i (AS400) system and ability to read RPG code and embedded SQL, Report Program Generator (RPG) and Control Language (CL), preferred.
- Experience with SQL language is required.
- Experience with SOAP and REST API for public, partner, private and composite web services.
