Performance Responsibilities:
Other essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. Instructs and monitors students in the use of learning materials and equipment
2. Uses relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
3. Manages student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
4. Encourages and monitors the academic and social progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies as needed
5. Ensures that all students, including students with disabilities, receive appropriate accommodations and/or modifications
6. Observes and evaluates students’ performance and prepare required reports on students and activities
7. Sets up assigned courses each semester, grade assignments, take student attendance, and complete report cards within required time frame
8. Monitors and Communicates daily feedback to students about their progress through the course
9. Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress
10. Attends any meetings relative to student progress, including parent connection meetings, student transition meetings, and district update meetings
11. Reports all behavioral, social/emotional, or personal student concerns to the advocate and head of school
12. Demonstrated technology proficiency with all applications, including Google Suite, Zoom, Pearson, Open-SIS
13. Willingly volunteers to substitute in the absence of other teachers as needed
