Responsibilities:
DOT Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements related to driver qualifications, hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and recordkeeping.
Driver Scheduling:
Coordinate and schedule truck drivers for deliveries, pickups, and transportation routes, taking into account driver availability, delivery timelines, and regulatory requirements.
Safety Protocols:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment for all employees and drivers.
Training and Education:
Provide training and education to drivers and staff on DOT regulations, safety procedures, and best practices for safe driving and transportation operations.
Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate records of driver qualifications, training, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and other compliance-related documentation.
Monitoring and Auditing:
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Incident Management:
Respond to and investigate any accidents, incidents, or safety violations involving company vehicles or drivers, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with drivers, management, and regulatory authorities regarding safety issues, compliance matters, and operational concerns.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Thorough understanding of DOT regulations, including hours of service, driver qualifications, vehicle maintenance, and recordkeeping requirements.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on DOT compliance and driver scheduling.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with drivers, management, and regulatory agencies.
Proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Office Suite and transportation management systems.
