Aeroflow Health – Payer Relations (Sales) Associate - Fully Remote - EST Time Zone Preferred

The Opportunity

Within Aeroflow, the Payor Relations team is comprised of two teams.

  • Our team focuses on supporting health plan initiatives through program development, education and collaboration.
  • Our clients include network management teams, care managers and navigators as well as customer service representatives within health plans.
  • Our dynamic and fast-paced team coordinates quickly with multiple parties within the organization bringing together key stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions.

Your Primary Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Payer Relations Associate. The Payer Relations Associate is typically responsible for

  • Managing key partner relationships, actively engaging to meet sales & marketing goals while also handling the operational day-to-day
  • Working alongside Payer Relations team to build out strategy for executing on shared volume goals with our largest partners
  • Engaging, educating, collaborating, and problem-solving with partners
  • Performing data analysis and provide insights to partners and internal stakeholders to improve partnership results
  • Establishing processes and reporting to help streamline the team’s operations
  • Providing pipeline management: maintaining structured pipeline of accounts with strong velocity of deals throughout pipeline
  • Aligning customer segmentation to improve market strategy and execution and improve our market share with existing regional MCOs
  • Developing and selling the Aeroflow evidence-based value proposition by customer segment
  • Communicating with the Senior Management team regarding the viability of the plan/fees
  • Maintaining all fee schedules and plan alerts in the practice management system
  • Ensuring fee schedules remain current and accurate
  • Distributing all insurance and fee schedule updates to stakeholders
  • Reviewing and analyzing all fee schedule updates for errors and to ensure fees have not decreased
  • Presenting analysis to Senior Management for review
  • Maintaining assigned Payor ID's in fee schedules and maintain all insurance companies in company internal database
  • Managing and overseeing insurance grievance and refunds functions
  • Advising management team of emerging trends and methodologies in the areas of managed care, Payer Relations, and legal issues
  • Partnering with marketing team to develop and launch new marketing campaigns with partners
  • Developing a deep understanding of Aeroflow’s business operations, including internal processes, functional group strategies, and competitive context
  • Collaborating with partners to ensure that the experiences we build together are the best possible for users, support our partners' goals, and align with Aeroflow’s mission
  • Developing strong relationships at all levels, identifying key decision makers and influencers
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies, client service and retention plans
  • Assisting with drafting and presenting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required
  • Possessing the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients
  • Maintaining HIPAA/patient confidentiality
  • Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Performing other job related instructions as requested

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, sales support, account management, or management consulting
  • Previous experience in a client or partner facing role
  • Motivated, self-starter, who can work with little supervision
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships with any team internally or externally
  • Ability to think creatively, critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, work environment
  • Appetite to actively learn and immediately apply learnings to make decisions and change behaviors
  • Shows initiative when problem solving
  • BA/BS preferred

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience or familiarity with the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of advanced sales techniques, such as consultative selling or solution selling.
  • Familiarity with various customer relationship management (CRM) software platforms.
  • Understanding of data analysis and the ability to leverage data to drive business development strategies.
  • Experience in negotiating and closing complex business deals.
  • Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and social media platforms for business development purposes.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with legal and contract matters related to business development.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
  • Experience in conducting effective sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Familiarity with financial and budgeting concepts for business development activities.

Salary: Minimum salary starting at $45,000 - $50,000 + Commissions and Bonus opportunities
