Summary: The Operational Support Services Specialist position, under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Support Services, provides mail room support including sorting incoming and outgoing mail/shipments and scanning functions. The position accomplishes this while ensuring Internal Audit Guidelines are being met, guided by Facilities and Support Services Leadership and the objectives of the SSC.

Qualifications:
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education: Associates Degree of Arts (Business, Healthcare Management, or Finance)
Required Experience: 1+ year clerical or mailroom experience or revenue cycle experience.
Preferred Experience: 2+ years clerical or mailroom experience or revenue cycle experience.
Required License/Registration/Certification: None
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Database software.

- Scans all payment posting batches, explanation of benefits, journals, etc. (45%)
- Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail as well as shipping/receiving. (25%)
- Works closely with secondary insurance department/billing to locate needed explanation of benefits. (10%)
- Secure documents for storage and manage PHI bins on the floor as required by HIPPA and CHS corporate policies. (10%)
- Maintains stock of paper, printer toner, and office supplies to the floor. (10%)
