Remote Medical Assistant

As a Remote Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will support the provider and the patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

This role is high responsibility and accountability. The right fit for this role is someone with excellent patient management skills and a demonstrated ability to take ownership over patient care. We require excellent attention to detail, tracking skills, and speed. You will work with the in-clinic staff and remote team as well to coordinate patient care, so following processes and proper communication channels is key.

Responsibilities

• Work in concert with clinic staff to track various treatment paths for patients
• Submit IVRs and track responses
• Manage surgeries from top to bottom, including:
• Tracking the patients who need surgery
• Submit all needed prior authorizations
• Schedule surgeries with hospitals and surgical centers
• Communicate with patients to keep them informed and comfortable throughout the process
• Manage all incoming and outgoing records requests for the practice
• Review and check patient insurances weekly
• Contact outside labs and providers to obtain needed patient results
• File faxes and documents as directed by management
• Attend weekly meetings and team trainings
• Assist with:
• Answering phones and handling patient follow up in a respectful and timely manner
• Organizing and scheduling appointments
• Office administrative support as directed by managemen

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
