Remote - Business Information Consultant (Tableau/SQL)
Job Description:
Work Location: Remote - Report once every quarter
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures and makes recommendations based upon data analysis.
- Documents specific business reporting requirements to address complex business needs
- Create operational performance monitoring reports with a summary dashboard view and detailed supporting reports.
- Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into design and testing.
- Performs report training for internal customers.
- May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
- Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers.
- Designs and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for provider portal data, clinical and non-clinical Utilization Management data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
- Owns overall reporting tool design, executing on leadership vision for customer support
Qualifications:
- Requires a BS/BA degree; 5-6 years business analysis experience; any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- SQL, Tableau and Advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills required.
- Utilization Management data knowledge preferred.
- Experience designing Dashboards in Web-based reporting tools
- Project management skills
- Ideal candidate will have experience designing data-driven tools used to drive process improvement, cost savings and executive level operational performance metrics.
