Otak CPM (Comprehensive Project Management) is seeking a Remote Assistant Project Manager who is eager to take on new challenges and grow with us! About the job:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be assisting in the coordination of multiple projects throughout the United States. This position will assist the Sr. Project Design Manager in day-to-day coordination of complex design work and stakeholder engagement teaming with other skilled professionals to gather critical data and input, that will enable problem solving, strong decision making, and deliver projects through completion milestones on behalf of our clients. This role has the potential for expansion and professional growth as work expands. What you'll do:

  • Support design management, technical direction, decision-making and overall leadership for Client’s industry-leading Datacenter Designs.
  • Support delivery of greenfield, brownfield and retrofit engineering / design projects through site due diligence, design, permitting and Construction administration phases through turnover to Operations within Client’s established scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Engage with key Client internal stakeholder groups and external vendors—including architects, engineers, and designers—who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.
  • Work with Client internal and external resources to align building, power, cooling, telecom and controls infrastructure designs in alignment with datacenter capacity roadmap.
  • Collaborate on problem solving and solutions to enable Client’s datacenters to incorporate new technology and operational processes / procedures.
  • Participate on multiple, concurrent, complete Datacenter design solutions in geographically diverse locations from a fully remote work environment.
  • Collaborate and cross-train with Otak internal team members to improve efficiency, quality and delivery of Client’s project portfolio.
  • Review and update project data and metrics in collaboration with team members.
  • Work remotely 100% of the time.

What you bring:

  • A passion to bring together high-performing, collaborative teams focused on executing projects effectively, while also emphasizing the enjoyment provided to all involved for a project well done.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Project Manager or relevant similar work experience in Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related areas.
  • Proficiency and technical understanding of commercial and industrial architecture, engineering Design and Construction required.
  • Experienced with facilitating meetings (includes almost exclusively remote meetings).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical groups in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle frequent process/procedure changes.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and work location as well as market and business considerations.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
