Position Summary:

The Remarketing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the remarketing of Stellantis Financial Services retail and lease vehicles and Stellantis-owned vehicles at auctions across the US. The position requires the management of SFS inventory from the time of receipt at auction to the time of final sale. The Specialist will determine and execute best practices to achieve optimal net sale proceeds, manage expenses, and ensure efficient cycle time.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend Closed and Open sales to represent SFS, virtually or in-person, to make sale decisions and execute sales strategy.
  • Develop good working relationships with the auctions, dealers, industry vendors, and the OEM.
  • Effectively manage assets, including the age, mix and sale-effectiveness while ensuring service levels are met according to the SFS Standards and highest levels of integrity.
  • Evaluate inventory, review condition reports, provide recommendations on reconditioning, set vehicle floor prices, and audit auction expenses.
  • Ensure adherence to SFS programs including inspections, repair decisions, and verifying repair completion.
  • Make strategic decisions on market values to meet company performance targets.
  • Coordinate pre-sale and post-sale activities to maximize effectiveness, which includes providing a summary of auction sale performance and evaluation of auction processes and results.
  • Assist all auction locations when needed to ensure efficiency is maintained at the highest levels.
  • Report on auction performance, analyzing market trends and providing key insights.
  • Ensure actions align with organizational goals, policies, procedures, and state and federal laws.
  • Identify, monitor, resolve, and build new processes to avoid problems or issues.
  • Collaborate with Stellantis fleet customers to sell retired fleet units at auction.
  • Develop and implement processes to enhance the operational controls around retail repossessions, off-lease, company vehicles, rental fleets, and buybacks.
  • Review, evaluate, and provide improved recommendations for Remarketing policies & and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for pre/post-sale activities.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree required; relevant directly related experience will be considered.
  • Experience:
    • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in remarketing venues.
    • Certified Automotive Remarketer (CAR) certification preferred.
    • Experience in a captive/fleet environment liquidating large volumes of lease vehicles preferred.
    • Experience in developing strategic vision in a high-volume remarketing environment.

    • Possess, demonstrate, and effectively communicate a strong knowledge of the captive finance and auction industry.
    • Can identify key industry drivers and develop strategies to mitigate negative impacts.
  • Travel Up to 50%
  • Must live within a commutable distance of one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ
