Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join our team to ensure our operations run smoothly with our facilities at our Crop Protection headquarters in Indianapolis, IN. Under the supervision of Indianapolis Site Operations & Maintenance Leader, you will be responsible for successfully utilizing reliability best practices to analyze facility equipment and implement improvements. The ultimate goal of this job is to provide reliability expertise to maintain a facility that operates equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year. Apply a working knowledge of reliability principles, maintenance tracking tools, facility systems, and building/laboratory equipment while providing a best in class maintenance and reliability program to service multiple client needs. The facility includes offices, laboratories, and greenhouses.

What You'll Do:

  • Sustain and drive Corteva reliability goals including but not limited to reliability of systems and equipment, critical equipment identification and tracking, failure mode and effects analysis, mechanical integrity and change management requirements.
  • Own critical equipment identification, as defined by R&D and Operations, for all new projects and existing infrastructure. Develop plans to ensure reliable operations of critical systems.
  • Work with project managers and facility engineers to ensure all reliability components are appropriately accounted for and documented in accordance with maintenance and operational requirements. Especially in regards to identifying failure modes, spare parts, inventory levels, and efficient/cost effective preventative maintenance plans.
  • Execute and manage reliability projects utilizing internal resources and outside contractors.
  • Provide consolation consultation for mechanical integrity as it relates to OSHA, Corteva and other global safety institutes. Knowledgeable with non-destructive testing techniques and applications.
  • Develop equipment and facility end of life replacement strategies using reliability principles, e.g. RCM, manufacture's recommendations, and condition monitoring.
  • Create and update Reliability work processes specifications to drive strategy and create standardization.
  • Conduct RCIs (Root Cause Investigation) to investigate unplanned events.
  • Maintain technical expertise through seminars, trade journals, and contacts with various vendors and industry groups/associations.
  • Provide technical support and training to other Corteva departments and functions to ensure site reliability.
  • Serve as primary resource for data entry into CMMS (i.e. Maximo) for asset management: i.e. new assets, job plans, spare parts, failure reporting.
  • Optimize data in CMMS to ensure integrity of information needed for proper maintenance of equipment: i.e. location, model numbers, preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Optimize preventative maintenance activities by reducing frequencies, adjusting scopes, changing assigned lead, etc.
  • Provide asset tagging expertise to maintenance and engineering to ensure assets are entered into CMMS with accurate information.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to assist planning and scheduling to ensure work orders adhere to reliability principles, e.g. time estimates for planned maintenance work.
Qualifications

Education:

  • You have an Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related field.

What Skills You Need:

  • You have experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management Software (e.g. eMaint, Maximo).
  • You enjoy working with others can communicate effectively with all stakeholders to achieve efficient results in your work.
  • You are able and willing to walk site premises and climb ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • You have 1+ years of facility, manufacturing or power plant maintenance experience.
  • You have 1+ years of experience in maintenance/reliability (i.e. developing job plans, optimizing preventative maintenance).
  • You possess a good working knowledge of facility equipment (i.e. air handlers, boilers, chillers, rotating equipment, etc.).
  • You have the ability to interpret technical vendor literature (i.e. Installation, Maintenance and Operation manuals) and transfer this information independently and effectively to critical work processes.
  • You have a working knowledge of piping systems and tools, including design criteria and standards, applicable codes and standards, P&ID, basic piping stress knowledge, Pipe specifications & materials, and construction techniques.
  • You have a working knowledge of piping and instrument drawings, schematics and equipment drawings.
  • You are knowledgeable of standard reliability best practices and principles: i.e. RCM, FMEA, preventative/predictive technologies.
  • You are able to use standard Microsoft applications - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • You have great time management skills including the ability to manage a substantial work load.
  • You have demonstrated your ability to learn quickly and desire to expand knowledge.
  • You are focused on delivering effective, usable results.
  • You are safety-conscious and have Process Safety Management experience.
