GENERAL SUMMARY:As the Relationship Officer (RO), you will play a pivotal role in driving brand awareness, fostering new membership growth, and deepening relationships with our valued members. You will lead and support both outbound and internal branch initiatives aimed at achieving these objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New Business Development:
    • Proactively schedule and execute member development events and collaborate with Business Development team on incremental opportunities.
    • Cultivate and nurture new member relationships, presenting products and services as solutions to their financial needs.
    • Pursue leads obtained from activity to achieve both individual and branch sales targets.
  • Member Relationship Management:
    • Document needs assessments with members to effectively recommend products and services that serve their financial needs.
    • Advise members of efficient ways to save, manage debt, build credit, borrow, and utilize convenient virtual banking channels.
  • Exceptional Service Delivery:
    • Perform Branch functions accurately, including new member onboarding, cash or check transactions, inquiries, and account maintenance.
    • Deepen and retain member relationships through established follow up process.
  • Leadership and Other Duties:
    • Embrace leadership responsibilities at the branch, including coaching, mentoring, and leading other employees and branch functions.

FURTHER ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain complete confidentiality of member, employee, and Credit Union information.
  • Must have access to a vehicle, a clean driving record, and the flexibility to travel frequently to execute member development opportunities.
  • May require overnight travel to fulfill new member development opportunities.
  • A high percentage of attendance is also an essential function of this position.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 to 5 years’ related financial services or sales experience required. Retail branch banking sales experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with empathy. Speaks and writes clearly, tactfully, and effectively in English using correct spelling and grammar.
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to reflectively respond.
  • Basic math skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages using a 10-key.
  • Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word and Excel. Moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Work involves extensive use of computers, up to eight hours per day. Appropriate visual, dexterity and other physical abilities are required.
  • Work involves setting up and tearing down displays and other physical activities related to business development events. May include pushing, pulling or carrying heavy objects.
  • Must be able to speak on the telephone.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: $48,739.60 - $67,016.95
