Summary/Objective
The Relationship Banking Group Assistant I (RBGA) is responsible for providing support to the Relationship Bankers (RBs), preparing, closing and disbursing loan documents and providing assistance to customers. May be responsible for assisting indirect loan customers.
Primary Functions
- Assists the RBs with new loan requests, loan renewals and annual reviews. The RBGA is the contact person between the RB and the customer and assists customers with the loan process including gathering all required customer information and documentation, assists with the completion of credit applications and collects application and loan processing fees as required.
- Assists RBs with the loan closing process. Completes closed loan packages for submission to loan operations and checks for required documentation. Ensures all loan documentation is current and loaded correctly according to the approved terms. Ensures lien perfecting documents are executed and recorded.
- Assists the RBs with, including but not limited to, portfolio management, working the maturing loan report and the collateral and financial statement exception reports.
- Provides customer service to outside sources including attorneys, accountants and insurance companies through electronic means and oral communication. Provides customer service to RBs by helping manage their loan portfolio so they can meet sales obligations outside the Bank.
- Effectively communicates with internal customers and internal banking areas including upper approving authorities such as the Senior RB, Regional Senior Credit Officer, Chief Credit Officer and other Executives.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Two years of banking or related experience.
- Must have good communication skills (both written and oral) to effectively communicate with different departments and with customers.
- Must be organized, efficient, a forward thinker, and a multi-tasker.
- Must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Post High School Education or more than 2 years of related experience.
- Banking experience.
