This position will have remote and hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address 1 day per week and based on business need.

The salary for this position is:
$37.90 - $41.55 Hourly
$3,032.31 - $3,324.00 Biweekly
$6,570.00 - $7,202.00 Monthly

Rehabilitation Supervisor I: H6R4XX
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) assists people with disabilities to succeed at work and live independently. We believe that anyone with a disability who wants to work, can work, regardless of the type or severity of their disability. We work closely with a variety of partners and stakeholders, including our vendors, employers, state and federal agencies, and Workforce Centers and Centers for Independent Living. The Division is innovative, always working to improve its services. DVR uses public funds to provide our services, so it is important that this money be used responsibly according to our policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.
The primary focus of this position is to ensure the quality and quantity of rehabilitation services by assignment of duties and responsibility of rehabilitation staff within the work unit. They are responsible for planning and monitoring of budgetary constraints, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations as they apply to rehabilitation service provision; developing cooperative agreements with local community agencies; mediating appeals and grievances; projecting the long-range needs for the disabled community within the district and making recommendations for program development.
Additionally, the Rehabilitation Supervisor is responsible for the following:
  • Monitoring counselor activities through case review; analyzing information in case files frequently to confirm compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Interacting with community agencies by collaborating on mutual program goals
  • Promoting disability awareness through presentations to members of the community, encouraging hiring of persons with disabilities
  • Overseeing and coordinating the functions of the work units; assigning duties and responsibilities to rehabilitation counselors
  • Identifying the need for training and implementing training programs for staff by either directly instructing of by procuring outside training when appropriate
  • Manage and monitoring cooperative agreements with local agencies to ensure maximum utilization and minimum duplication of resources
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from a program fully accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), or for graduation prior to July 1, 2017, accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE)
AND
Three years of professional experience providing vocational rehabilitation counseling
OR
Possession of a current, valid Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certification issued by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counseling AND three years of experience working directly with individuals who have disabilities providing services appropriate to the work assignment. Two of these three years must have included professional experience specifically providing vocational rehabilitation counseling, vision rehabilitation therapy or orientation and mobility services to individuals with disabilities
OR
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Disability Studies or closely related human services field AND four (4) years of professional experience providing vocational rehabilitation counseling to individuals with disabilities.

  • Experience working with transitioning youth, secondary or post secondary populations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Suite
  • Experience working in a state system
