Description
This person is frequently a patient or family member's first impression of Immanuel Living rehabilitation services. They present a hospitable & positive image for Immanuel Living. They perform the scheduling and other administrative duties necessary for the efficient day-to-day operations of the Rehabilitation Services department. This position will also assist with the duties involving admissions, discharges, and follow up, while providing clerical support to other staff, as assigned.
Duties:
• Be an active participant in making a safe & hospitable home or therapy destination for our guests and residents, creating and maintaining a safe workplace, and working safely
• Ensure all therapist and assistant licenses are current and posted.
• Assist therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment and providing clinical education to meet the needs of the patient.
• Complete all department maintenance including cleaning of all mats and equipment, monitoring temperature of hydrocollator units, ensuring any mechanical checks or calibrations are completed according to schedule, emptying laundry, stocking supplies and clean laundry, ordering supplies under the direction of the Director of Rehab.
• Ensures therapists are current for all mandatory and/or required in-services.
• Track and ensure that all rehab staff are current for PPD's.
• Track physician orders and signatures.
• Track annual screens and notify therapists.
• Review QIR monthly for changes and report to the Director of Therapy
• Complete technical audits of charts ensuring all documentation is present. Mail and track return of initial evaluations and certifications.
• Coordinate and post staff schedule
• Monitor and report metrics, as directed.
• Submit billing.
• Other duties, as assigned and/or as beneficial to ILC's mission.
Requirements
• Positive and helpful demeanor.
• General office equipment including fax, computer, printer, telephone, copier, etc.
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skill required. Adept at effective communication with individuals and groups, or all ages and backgrounds.
