SalaryOur Physical and Occupational therapy Authorization Specialists are responsible to work with the staff to expeditiously contact the various entities, provide accurate clinical and demographic information, obtain the authorizations in a timely manner and communicate the information to the patient.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Obtain Rehab Orders/requests for target locations in the organization by monitoring our EMR System, phone, online, or emails
- Conduct Online/phone Authorization request for patient’s schedules
- Conduct Online/Phone authorization investigation of eligible benefits
- Communication of authorization/benefits to patients prior to exams
- Scheduling of initial and follow-up visits with the respective therapist
- Facilitation of Peer to Peer reviews for Authorizations
- Provision of Medical records in pursuit of Authorizations
- Documentation of Authorization process various systems: Centricity/Exscribe/Health I Pass
