What You’ll Do
Dermalogica is seeking a talented and experienced Regulatory Manager (or Senior Manager) to oversee and manage all aspects of regulatory affairs for our skincare product line. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products comply with local and international regulations, guaranteeing the safety and efficacy of our formulations. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Regulatory Leadership
- Drive regulatory direction for brand innovations.
- Keep the leadership updated on pivotal regulatory shifts.
- Define and adapt strategies to match the ever-evolving regulatory scene.
- Serve as the regulatory authority in claim co-generation.
Tactical and Operational Excellence:
- Guide Marketing and R&D teams on new product concepts and categories.
- Provide tactical support to R&D, encompassing all regulatory aspects for both innovations and existing products.
- Spearhead early-stage regulatory assessments for all formulas, ingredients, and innovations across our international markets.
- Oversee external partners providing regulatory insights, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with our standards.
Innovation Compliance:
- Direct comprehensive reviews as the final regulatory gatekeeper for all branding materials, from product labels to digital assets.
- Champion product safety testing methods and ensure third-party safety assessments meet our benchmarks.
- Oversee and verify compliance of third-party ingredient suppliers, safeguarding brand integrity.
- Manage, curate, and maintain crucial documentation and registrations across EU and US markets, offering support to our global units as needed.
Global Representation
- Serve as Dermalogica's voice, ensuring alignment with Unilever Prestige Regulatory Affairs.
- Facilitate a seamless flow of regulatory insights and updates between Brand and the global network.
- Instigate and refine global regulatory summaries and lead issue management on regulatory affairs for the Brand.
- Foster and enhance relations with both internal stakeholders and external collaborators.
What You'll Need
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in the Sciences required; M.S. in Chemistry, Biosciences, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or equivalent preferred.
- 5-8 years of regulatory experience in the Cosmetic/Personal Care industry.
- Comprehensive expertise in managing regulatory requirements for personal care innovation and ensuring in-market product compliance.
- Proficiency in US and EU markets is crucial, alongside familiarity with International product registrations and labeling requirements. Experience with China Domestic a plus.
- Experience in the Skincare category is preferred, including past experience with OTC products.
- Proven track record of collaborating with Marketing and R&D, as well as experience in Prestige channels and third-party distributor management.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience in team management.

- Expertise in Cosmetic/OTC raw material safety and regulations.
- Capacity to empower and augment the Innovation agenda.
- Strong acumen in risk and issue management, with a grasp of regulatory development and advisory frameworks.
- A detail-oriented approach, balanced with adeptness at multi-tasking.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Innate ability to cultivate and nurture robust, trustful relationships both internally and externally.

- Competitive Compensation: Expected base salary range of $110,000-130,000; exact base salary determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
