Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in social sciences or other life sciences related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Previous experience in Regulatory Compliance.
- Ability to understand and interpret federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to research compliance.
- Knowledge in the federal, state and local regulations and policies to research compliance in a university setting is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to work within a diverse research community and stressful situations.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, database applications and other electronic protocol management systems to support research compliance and administration.

Position Purpose
The Regulatory Compliance Specialist works under the direction of the IRB Manager at Oakland University to provide ongoing support to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the protection of human subjects.
