As a Regulatory Affairs Consultant supporting the OptumRx business, you will be a key contributor on our Regulatory Affairs Team. You will research, document, communicate, and track implementation for regulatory changes in the health care system. It's an opportunity to make a huge impact.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor new state and federal laws and regulations and proposed regulations
- Review and draft analysis of complex regulatory changes and identify potential impact to assigned business segments
- Communicate and serve as a subject matter expert on new regulatory requirements for business partners
- Provide oversight on implementations to ensure compliance measures are met
- Collect data, coordinate, and develop reports, and maintain internal and external documentation in tracking tool
- Serve as key resource and strategic partner on complex regulatory issues for individuals across all levels of the organization
- Review proposed regulations and coordinate comments in response to the proposed regulations
- Lead department improvement projects / education opportunities
- Serve as a subject matter expert to other Regulatory Affairs team members on the most complex issues

Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience working in a healthcare/health insurance environment in a regulatory or compliance role
- Proficient use of Legal research tools such as Lexis/Nexis and Statenet
- Proven ability to lead calls with business areas and clients
- Proven ability to read, analyze and communicate complex laws, regulations and related documents
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with functions such as legal, client communications, compliance, and account management
- Proven ability to review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks successfully
- Proven solid analytical skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Attorney or Paralegal Certificate
- Experience using the Archer eGRC application
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefits management industry
- Knowledge and experience with Medicaid laws and regulations
- Demonstrated advanced writing and presentation skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
