Job description

As the Diversity Strategy & Operations Officer you will be a key architect in shaping and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies across our complex organization. Reporting directly to the Purpose & Inclusion Partner, you will collaborate with leadership teams, employees, and external stakeholders to drive initiatives that enhance diversity and promote an inclusive work environment.

Demonstrates extensive thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts:

  • Possessing experience in a senior diversity, equity and inclusion ("DEI") leadership role within a large, complex organization;
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive DEI strategy that aligns with the company's values and business objectives, considering the nuances of a large and complex organizational structure;
  • Collaborating with executive leadership to integrate DEI initiatives seamlessly into overall business strategies;
  • Establishing and refining DEI policies, establishing and confirming they are consistent with industry-leading practices, regulatory requirements, and tailored to the specific needs of our organization;
  • Advising and influencing People policies to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace;
  • Collaborating with the Learning & Development team to implement training programs tailored to the complexities of a large workforce, aiming to raise awareness, foster cultural competence, and promote DEI throughout the organization;
  • Providing guidance to leaders and employees on creating an inclusive work environment, recognizing the diverse perspectives present within our organization;
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of DEI initiatives in a large organizational setting;
  • Reporting progress on a regular basis to leadership and recommending adjustments to strategies based on data insights, establishing and confirming transparency and accountability;
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition to develop and implement DEI strategies for talent acquisition and retention, recognizing the unique challenges and opportunities in a large and dynamic workforce;
  • Advising on career development programs that help to provide equal opportunities for advancement and success;
  • Collaborating with ERGs to provide a robust platform for employees to connect, share experiences, and contribute to a positive workplace culture in a large and diverse organization;
  • Cultivating and strengthening relationships with external organizations, industry groups, and thought leaders to stay informed about industry-leading practices and related business trends;
  • Representing the firm at DEI forums, building external organizational relationships that extend the impact of our DEI initiatives beyond the firm's boundaries;
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with internal stakeholders, building trust and credibility as a champion for DEI; and,
  • Utilizing proven communication and persuasion skills to influence decision-makers and inspire change at all levels of the organization.
