Description
Performs duties related to the operations of the Community Activity Center Front Desk – to include greeting guests, registration, answering phones, addressing guest questions, assisting in room/gym set ups, stocking, cleaning, and enforcing Community Activity Center rules and regulations.
Examples of Duties
Front Desk Staff Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets Community Activity Center guests, answers questions regarding the Community Activity Center and/or the Town of Flower Mound, answers phone, and provides excellent customer service.
- Registers participants for classes.
- Sells Community Activity Center memberships and programs. This includes handling credit card transactions, receiving cash, and counting correct change.
- Provides tours of the Community Activity Center.
- Checks out gym and game equipment to guests.
- Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks to include filing, organizing, inventory, etc.
Additional Staff Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports other areas of the Community Activity Center by assisting with special events, aquatic programs, and facility rentals/coverage.
- Attends mandatory training and in-service meetings.
- Informs supervisor of all work-related activities.
- Adheres to the personnel, safety, and divisional policies of the Town of Flower Mound.
- Assists co-workers and other divisions as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within the first 30 days of hire date.
- Must have a valid driver's license and driving record must be in compliance with Town policy or must have reliable transportation.
Must submit to and pass a post-offer, non-regulated drug test and thorough background checks (including criminal history).
EDUCATION:
- A High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is preferred.

- Must have excellent leadership, organizational, and communicative skills, both oral and written.
- Computer proficiency is required.
- Must maintain an effective and pleasant working relationship with citizens, the general public, employees, and volunteers.
- Must be able to work various hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Must be able to talk, see, hear, read, and work in adverse environmental conditions.
- Must be able to perform strenuous physical activities to include running, kneeling, bending, twisting, dragging, pushing, pulling, occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. of various recreational and athletic equipment.
Regular Part Time employees accrue 3.34 hours of vacation leave and 4 hours of sick leave per month. All regular employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of one thousand (1,000) hours annually will participate in the Texas Municipal Retirement System.
