Position Description
Under the supervision of the Supervisor Professional Billing, the Registration Specialist performs accurate and complete patient registration including obtaining and verify complete demographic and insurance information. Ensures accurante information is entered into the patient billing system. Provides support and assistance to the Supervisor Professional Billing as directed. The Registration Specialist should remain in full compliance with all departmental, instructional and regulatory policies and procedures at all times. The roles and responsibilities of this job support the mission, vision, values and strategies of AU Health.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma, GED, equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization required. Customer service, basic computer, and MS Office skills required.
Preferred Requirements
Associates Degree and 2 years or more of experience in registration in a high volume, face-to-face customer service healthcare setting. Medical Terminology.
