Registered Veterinary Technician

Schedule:
- No Weekends
- Three to Four - 10 hour shifts; Monday - Friday
- A consistent schedule with a dedicated day off during the week
- No boarding or grooming
Requirements:
- RVT/LVT Experience in the veterinary field
- Passion for helping pets and their owners
- Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
- Constantly advance your knowledgebase and skill set

- Restraint - restrain patients for exams, obtaining samples, ultrasound, radiology, etc.
- Obtain samples - blood, urine, and other samples for laboratory tests
- Laboratory procedures - in-house blood chemistry and hematology, complete urinalysis, cytology of skin and ears, snap tests, as well as processing and submitting samples to an outside lab
- Patient care - hospitalized and critically ill patients: monitoring vital signs, administering medications and/or fluids, etc
- Set up and perform radiographs
- Client education - nutrition, pet care, vaccine protocols, preventatives, etc.
- Support veterinarians to ensure exceptional veterinary care during preventative, injury and illness visits
- Advocate for patients
- Assist with setting up patient procedures, and surgical instrument and equipment care.
- Obtain health history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete within the electronic medical records
