JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
- Performs non-invasive vascular imaging exams as well as imaging during vein ablation procedures, including call as needed. Responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional work environment for the Trinity Health System Vascular Lab.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform vascular exams and vein procedures according to standards and protocols established by the vascular management staff; ensure all equipment is working properly.
- Interact with staff/patients/guests in a polite/responsive manner to ensure quality care.
- Make recommendations/suggestions to professional staff to optimize quality.
- Maintain adequate stock items providing uninterrupted patient care.
- Participate in clinical education programs for Vascular Ultrasound.
- Schedule, participate and maintain records for quality improvement/assurance guidelines as defined by the accrediting body.
- Document/review incidents and report them to the Medical Director and Manager.
- Report directly to the Cardiac Imaging Manager and Medical Director.
- Perform procedures per Vascular imaging manual. Develop/implement new protocols as updated or developed.
- Schedule ARDMS/CCI board exam within one year of orientation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in AAS
- CPR
- ARDMS/ RVT preferred upon hire OR required within one year of employment.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- The employee must show competency in areas listed below, as they relate to newborn, pediatric, adolescent (age 12. 20), adults and elderly patients.
