ROLE: Provide mobile ultrasound service. Majority of work activity performed in various nursing homes, home cares facilities, prisons and processing sites throughout regions serviced by Diagnostic Laboratories traveling in an automobile to the location.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The position entails conducting ultrasound examinations utilizing portable sonographic equipment across various medical facilities. Duties encompass initiating self-dispatching or liaising with dispatch for assignment details, ensuring punctual arrival at designated sites, and performing diagnostic imaging while adhering to clinical standards. Technicians are responsible for transmitting images digitally to radiologists for analysis and promptly responding to urgent communications. Additionally, they must maintain professionalism by adhering to dress codes, wearing company-provided identification, and attending mandatory meetings.
Moreover, technicians must meticulously verify the accuracy of patient orders against examination requisitions and confirm patient identities through established protocols. They are also expected to refrain from engaging in patient transfers or support activities, with such responsibilities falling under the purview of facility staff. Continuous compliance with medical physical examinations, TB screenings, and infection control in-service requirements is essential, along with the timely submission of documentation to the Human Resources Department.
Furthermore, technicians are accountable for the upkeep of both vehicle and sonographic equipment and must promptly report any malfunctions to supervisors. They are also entrusted with training other technologists as necessary and must exhibit self-motivation, reliability, and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Basic proficiency in smartphone and computer operations is essential, as is familiarity with regional geography and travel routes. Strong interpersonal skills and a pleasant phone demeanor are crucial for effective communication with call center personnel, dispatchers, colleagues, and clients alike.
Overall, the role demands adherence to ethical standards, compliance with company policies such as drug-free workplace regulations, and conduct in alignment with the organization's Code of Conduct.

*Lifting the Equipment Bag into and out of the vehicle and/or wheeled cart at the patient’s bedside requires 18 to 20 pounds of force. The Equipment Bag is placed into a wheeled cart and is pulled for up to 250 feet, requiring an initiating force of 10 lbs, and a sustained force of 5 to 8 pounds.
Job Information:
Candidates will be provided company vehicle.
This position services a wide range in the Bay Area, and so they could be driving long distances between sites.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Applicant must be registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound. 
  • ECHO Certified 
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 is a requirement for all individuals. Alternatively, those seeking an exemption must submit proper documentation supporting their request
  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
  • Maintain required certification and registries, health requirements, and operational requirements.
  • Sonographer must always maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to produce the license on demand.
