Proxy Healthcare is a nurse-owned staffing agency started in 2019 with the goal to improve healthcare worker pay and assist facilities in times of staffing shortages. Our goal is to fill those facilities with next-level nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and nursing assistants so that new staff can be hired, trained, retained. In this way, we look to help staffing shortages stay temporary. Currently, Proxy Healthcare is staffing in Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, New Jersey and West Virginia. Proxy Healthcare is primarily associated with Long Term Care and Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals.

We are looking for critical care experienced (2 years minimum, 5 years preferred) Respiratory Therapist. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care and follow through with facility policies. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care.

Start Date 04/12 or 04/19

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
• Administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s order
• Work efficiently and professionally as part of a Code Team
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

Skills

• Proven experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Excellent knowledge of respiratory care methods and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of emergency care
• Excellent knowledge of tracheostomy care and management
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible and compassionate
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
• Valid CRT and/or RRT license

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $43.00 - $45.00 per hour
