12 hr shifts, day/night rotation but the need is primarily on nights at this time. Every other weekend. 0.9 FTE.
24 bed combination med/surg and ICU unit
Average census is 2 ICU patients per day; the rest are all med/surg with more of a medical focus. Lauren would be primarily caring for med/surg assignments.
Ratios are 3-5 pts during the day, 4-6 patients overnight
Dedicated charge nurses that do not take patient assignments
MGH is a small hospital and has the following unique characteristics:
-High patient turnover; average length of stay is less than 3 days
-High patient satisfaction scores
-Nice physical environment with all single-patient rooms
-No inpatient dialysis patients
-Has overnight hospitalists but no intensivists
-No inpatient mental health departments
Epic experience preferred
ASAP start -- assignment will end 2/29
