SUMMARY: The VascularAccess Specialist is a licensed Registered Nurse who is accountable to assessand identify the Vascular Access needs of the patient, coordinate and provideservices for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement in the hospitalsetting and for outpatient referrals, and to serve as a resource to staff forongoing monitoring, maintenance and management of potential catheter-relatedcomplications. This position practices under the direction of the designatednurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and inaccordance with Children's policies.
POSITIONREQUIREMENTS: This position requires graduationfrom an accredited nursing program, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Individual must have a valid California RN license and a minimum of three (3)years' related clinical experience, pediatric experience highly desirable. PICCCertification and bilingual skills preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS)required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
POSITIONDETAILS: Per Diem, Must be available to work a minimum of one x 10-hour shift per week.
PAY RANGE: $41.40 - $71.50
