Skyline Health, located in White Salmon, WA has an opening for an experienced RN in our Surgery Department. This is a full-time position. Skyline offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and Paid-Time off.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Provides professional nursing, direct patient care in the pre-operative, operating and post-operative areas. Is in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. Promotes a collaborative, intra-disciplinary approach towards patients, families, and all members of the health care team. EDUCATION BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
-Graduate from an accredited Nursing School Program
-Current license to practice in the State of Washington
-Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
-1 year surgical experience required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Set up and prepare for admissions, recoveries, and post-op care.
2. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs in the pre-surgery/pre-procedure area.
3. Document patient care, in the EMR, according to established standards.
4. Provide post-operative/recovery care to patients until discharge.
5. Be able to float to all areas of surgical patient care:
a. Assist with moderate sedation, infusion services, and pain management
b. Prepare supplies for next day procedures/surgeries
c. Perform pre-op/pre-procedure calls, and provide accurate procedure information
d. Perform post op/post procedure calls e. Ensures own professional effectiveness
through education and professional development
Pay: $37.56 - $57.94 per hour
