Job Summary
The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate, person-centered Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team! As the RN Supervisor you will serve as a leader and resource for nursing staff and other employees to ensure appropriate levels of skilled clinical nursing care is provided to patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Directly supervise day and evening Human Service Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and other employees as assigned
- Evaluate employee performance and administer applicable labor contracts fairly and equitable based on policy and practice
- Communicate with the hospital senior leadership team to establish a strong leadership model for unit staff
- Provide feedback to and mentor nursing staff through participation in staff meetings and conducting unit nursing staff meetings
- Anticipate crises and/or emergency situations and act as a leader in nursing interventions and follow-up
- Contribute to and participate in the safety and security for the facility
Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is a secure inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify, you must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota; AND
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, plus three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience, including at least two (2) years as a charge Registered Nurse; OR
- Associate degree or diploma in nursing, plus four (4) years of Registered Nurse experience, including at least two (2) years as a charge Registered Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of nurse management experience
