Registered Nurse (Rn)

Rashid Plastic Surgery is looking for a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our team. Rashid Plastic Surgery is a luxury boutique medical office featuring an in-office operating suite and medical spa.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform medically delegated procedures including IPL, laser hair reduction, chemical peels and microneedling
• Managing the overall nursing care in all phases of perioperative care including completing preoperative paperwork, preparing patients for procedures, in the operating room maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, and post-anesthesia care.
• Discussing procedures and treatments with patients, including explaining expectations before, during, and after procedures
• Assist providers by taking vitals, documenting medical history, preparing medication and injectables, and setting up/assisting with minor procedures
• Collaborating with physicians and other team members to ensure patient's needs are met.
• Additional patient care duties include obtaining patient consents, sending pathology, assisting with inventory management, sterilization of instruments, coordinating with referring physician offices, and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN license in the state of Illinois
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to assess medical clearance issues, medication history review, and assess wounds
• Strong decision making capabilities
• Ability to problem solve and think critically
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in providing comprehensive care and support to patients, demonstrating a strong level of expertise in healthcare and a deep understanding of patient needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS Certification
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
• Previous experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, perioperative or medical spa settings
