Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient health and ensures patient safety through participation in hospital and unit-specific safety initiatives.
- Monitors patient condition by assessing needs in order to provide the best possible care and outcomes.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
- Collaborates with team members to ensure that treatment and care are conducted according to hospital policy and procedure.
- Expands knowledge and capabilities through continuing education.
- Maintains a professional and cooperative relationship with the healthcare team by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
- Fosters a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients, family members and patients' loved ones.
- Maintains patients' confidence and confidentiality.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Vocational diploma/nursing diploma minimum requirement.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Over 6 months to 1 year as an acute care Registered Nurse required.
- BSN preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse in PA – licensed, upon hire, required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire required.
