Registered Nurse (Rn)

Nursing position at an upcoming Non-medical homecare business

-Hours: As Needed

Qualifications:

· A licensed RN, in good standing, issued by the NJ Board of Nursing

· Graduate from an accredited college with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing or other health related field, with two years of professional experience as a RN in community health and/or home health

· In lieu of a BS degree, may have 3 years of professional experience as a RN in community health and/or home health, with progressive nursing responsibilities

· qualifications shall include experience in providing nursing services in a patient’s home environment, inclusive of an assisted living facility.

· Availability via telephone and provide home visits, if necessary, during Agency On-Call Hours

· Professional Liability Insurance with 1-3 million dollars in coverage, if applicable

Physical Requirements:

· Able to effectively communicate with clients and co-workers in English

· Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing

· Ability to deal effectively with stress

Essential Functions of the Position:

· To ensure quality and safe delivery of home care services

· To coordinate provision of home care services that reflect agency philosophy and standards

· Ensures quality and safe delivery of home care services

· Responsible for the overall coordination and evaluation of Client Services

· Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with the client and his/her family members

· Performs functions of the Nursing Supervisor as needed

· Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with other members of the homecare team and staff of the agency

· Maintains confidentiality of client assessments and record

· Identifies and uses appropriate resources

· Demonstrates sound judgment and clinical knowledge in planning and decision making

Pay: $40.00 - $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 15 per week
