The Inova Professional Services Building Surgery Center team is seeking an experienced Perianesthia (PACU) RN for a Part Time position to support our growing services. Our ideal candidate will have PreOp and PACU experience to include Phase 1 and 2 recovery experience.
Schedule: 2x12 hour shifts to cover 800-2130 Monday - Friday, no holiday, no call, no weekends
Recently awarded the ABPANC's Certification Achievement Award, at least 75% of our of team is CPAN® and/or CAPA® certified, representing the highest quality patient care in perianesthesia nursing. Strong PACU including Phase 1 experience highly desired for this opening.
The Professional Services Building Surgery Center (PSBSC) is located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus (IFMC). It is a state-of-the-art, PACU that serves the communities of Sports Medicine, Complex Podiatry, Total Ankle and Shoulder, Outpatient Orthopedics, Laparoscopic, General, Thyroidectomy, Breast Cancer with Plastic Reconstruction, Melanoma, and other general surgery patients. There is free parking on site and scrubs are provided. Case volumes are 25-35 per day, and hours of operation are M-F, 0700-2130. The Surgery Center staff do not work call, nights, holidays, or weekends. It is a fast-paced environment that focuses on strong teamwork and patient safety. Job Requirements:
- One year of PACU or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience is required
- Two plus years PACU experience is highly desired
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
- RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- ACLS, PALS, BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
