Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center® is a 336-bed facility that is part of the six-hospital The Valley Health System in the Las Vegas area. We provide a wide range of medical services and procedures, including comprehensive women's services for the Northwest Las Vegas area. In addition to providing digital mammography, gynecologic care and gynecologic surgery, the Women’s Center pays special attention to new moms. During their stay, moms enjoy special menus, massages and afternoon teas. The Women's Center maternity services include labor, delivery and recovery rooms, antepartum and postpartum care, a newborn nursery and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Job Description:
Services as a Specialized Registered Nurse who provides the surgical team with assistance within the Operating Room and other similar settings. Assists the surgeon with specific intraoperative procedures that are beyond the scope of practice for REGISTERED NURSEs without RNFA education and training. Functions interdependently with the surgeon and applies knowledge, skill, and judgement necessary to assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation that yields optimal results for the patient. functions with the state laws regarding surgical assisting and the state nursing practice act. The Certified RNFA does not concurrently function as the scrub nurse.
Qualifications
Education:
Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred. Nurses without BSN may be grandfathered into this job if current with both CNOR and CRNFA certified certifications.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years perioperative nursing.
License/Certification:
CNOR and CRNFA
Other:
CRNFA must be obtained within 2 years, if not present on hire.
