This job is located in Jefferson City, MO.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team. As an RN in Endoscopy, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. Your role will involve assessing patients, assisting with endoscopic procedures, monitoring patients' vital signs, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' medical history and current condition to ensure they are suitable candidates for endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
• Assist the endoscopy team during procedures, providing necessary instruments and medications as required.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to anesthesia during the procedure.
• Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' recovery after the procedure, ensuring they are stable and comfortable.
• Provide post-procedure care instructions and education to patients and their families.
• Document all patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Prior experience in Endoscopy nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
