At our Adolescent and Child Inpatient Mental Health unit, we're looking for dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team in providing Mental Health support for children and Adolescents aged 10-18. We're committed to fostering therapeutic engagement through group activities, Occupational Therapy (OT), Therapeutic Recreation (TR), and other therapeutic groups to aid in our young patients' recovery journey. Whether they arrive subdued and depressed or in a state of decompensation and mania, we maintain strict safety guidelines to ensure their well-being.

Schedule: This position will be working 0.7 FTE (56 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the evening shift. This position will also work a rotation for every other weekend.

- Utilizing a systematic process to assess the physical and Mental Health needs of the patient, which will provide a framework from which patient care is planned
- Administering medications used for the management of behavioral patients with knowledge of actions, contraindications, side effects and desired outcomes
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the nursing interventions in meeting the identified emotional, psychological and physical needs, making revisions based on these outcomes.
- Monitoring and maintaining a therapeutic environment through active involvement and demonstrated response to change in patient behavior
- Assessing patients on ongoing basis for risk of violence
- Uses therapeutic communication skills and follows the parameters of the therapeutic relationship
- Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN)
- License/Certification/Registration
- Current MN RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers
- Experience
- 1 year of Behavioral Experience (preferred within last 5 years).
- Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience
- 1 year of Nursing Experience in Behavioral Health in the last 3 years.
- New grads welcome with capstone in Child/Adolescent InpatientMental Health unit.
