Pay Range: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Full-time
Day Shift, Evening Shift, Night Shift
Monday to Friday, Rotating Weekends, Weekends as needed
Whitestone, Queens, NY
Registered Nurse RN Duties:
- Uses nursing judgement and knowledge of gerontological nursing to set priorities and make decisions.
- Meets nursing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
- Implements physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Performs standard nursing treatments and observes resident for desired and unwanted effects.
- Asseses & implement Residents’ care plans when conditions warrant a change as necessary.
- Completes care plans and other documents as assigned.
- Complies with the confidentiality of all resident information as per HIPAA and corporate guidelines.
- Supervises, directs and/or provides resident care when assigned.
- Establishes personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons as a representative of the facility.
- Provides support to patients, friends, and families.
- Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests.
- Resolves patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
- Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.
RN Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must have an active / unrestricted NYS Registered Nurse License
- Should have excellent clinical assessment skills
- Ability to make good independent decisions
- Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Long-Term Care Experience Preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
